Fantasia on American Idol: How Did this Girl Win?
Last night former winner Fantasia performed on American Idol. Let me just say what everyone is thinking…how in the world did this girl win? Was the competition really that bad? All she did was screech and holler. And poor Simon…just watch the video to check out his face in the end!

If you did not think this was a great performance just wait and see when she goes on tour because the tickets will sell. This was a wonderful show that she put on. The idol need to put on their game face and give us a show next week
That was possibly the worst song I’ve ever allowed myself to sit through. She looked terrible, sounded terrible and might have had the most awkward dance moves I’ve ever seen (she looked like a chicken or big bird or something moving around up there). Really, come on, no one could have seriously liked that!!

The performance was eccentric, I don’t know what talent she has, I don’t know how she could win anything. She is a Hot Ghetto Mess and I think she brings a discredit on all African Americans.
Ok…I thought that was ahorrible performance Wednesday night. However, Fantasia really CAN sing! If you watched Idol the year that she won there would be no doubt in you mind WHY she won. Check out her final performance on Idol “II Believe” and “Summertime”.

i am a huge fan of hers and I thought it was terrible
I live in the same town as Fantasia, Charlotte NC, and see her around from time to time. Each time I see her she was very reserved, quite and personable. If you did not know who she was, you would not know she was a professional performer. While her past performances have been very good – she was more technical and entertaining.
But this performance was AMAZING! I was so proud of her! I mean her energy, command of the stage, her explosive delivery – the excitement was infectious. She owned the crowd! In this age of shameless, lip-syncing, talentless studio creations – Ms Barrio, is the real deal. This performance but more proof that she is an American Idol. I loved the performance and have watched it at 20 times since!
Homegirl rocked the house and Simon’s reaction, in my opinion, is amazement! And I would have to agree. Fantasia, awesome JOB sweetie! Charlotte loves you!

Fantasia was totally awesome–off the hook and off the chain as they say.
It was beyond energetic and original.
The performance was beyond powerful. We all know Fantasia can croon–
but that is not was this performance was about however –she still crooned.
It was raw and totally fabulous.
Bravo Fantasia.
As the quote says–we often don’t like what we don’t understand.
Fantasia’s performance was just one example of a woman’s power.
The singing was just as wonderful and moving as when Fantasia sings Summertime!
Again Bravo to Fantasia–It is obvious how she won!

She was like a red rooster on crack. It was hideous, cringe worthy. That is not singing. What does “off the chain” mean? Doesn’t sound like a compliment to me.
Yeah, the performance was a jaw dropper…….IN A GOOD WAY. She combines the best of Tina Turner and Betty Davis (Miiles Davis’ ex-wife). She was simply ferocious! No pretty lady standing with a mic crap (or pretty boys for that matter). Some real kick-a$$ rockin funk. It’s not supposed to be pitch-perfect. It’s supposed to be REAL. Something that Idol-culture lacks.

Did you see the video on Entertainment Tonight of she & her DRUNK boyfriend falling out of a car? TYPICAL. As LOW CLASS as it gets!!!!!!!!!!

I commend her bravery on telling her story and it is very touching but the voice is still bad.
