Amy Winehouse has Emphysema
Amy Winehouse has been in the hospital, and there are no signs of her leaving anytime soon. At first it was thought that she might have tuberculosis, but now her father has stated that she is really, really sick. According to dad Mitch Winehouse, Amy has emphysema. And if things don’t start changing as far as Amy and drugs go, her future is looking bleak and very short-lived.
Mitch says,
“The doctors have said that if she had continued the way she was going she could have ended up an invalid – she wouldn’t have been able to breathe. With smoking the crack cocaine and the cigarettes her lungs are all gunked up. There are nodules around the chest and dark marks. She’s got 70 per cent lung capacity.”
He also says that if she leaves the hospital, she will inevitably return to her crack-smoking ways and will more than likely be dead within a couple of months. He wants her to stay away from drug dealers and bad influences like Pete Doherty. “I’m saying to those drug dealers, and they know who they are, if they are supplying crack to Amy, then they’ve got to take responsibility,” says Mitch. “I don’t want her hanging out with her mates like Pete Doherty either.” Mitch has also made hubby Blake Fielder-Civil promise to stop doing drugs for Amy’s sake as well. Hopefully Amy will get the hint now that crack is indeed whack and will get the help she so desperately needs and will get better!
