The Bachelor’s Matt Grant and Shayne Lamas Breakup
The Bachelor’s Matt Grant and Shayne Lamas have broken up. 22 year-old Lamas, daughter of Actor Lorenzo Lamas, and Grant, 27, told People “We’ve tried hard to make it work but we realized we were both heading in different directions.”
After popping the question to Lamas on the show’s season finale, the relationship has proven to be a rocky one. Shayne reportedly kicked Grant out of her Studio City apartment–an allegation the English bachelor denied–and he then settled into his own pad in the valley but maintained the engagement was still on.
Then it was reported that Matt was getting a little too frisky with another blonde while on the town with his cronies at The Village Idiot.
Meanwhile–not to be outdone–Shayne was reported hanging out with actor Evan Ross at the Kiss Lounge opening back on May 30.
Controversy has swirled around the short-lived romance and it is clear now that they have called it quits.
In a statement regarding the breakup the two said, “We truly care about eachother and will remain close friends.”
