Mischa Barton Hates Drunk Drivers
Actress Mischa Barton graces next month’s September cover of the 20th Anniversary Issue of Marie Claire UK. In the magazine interview, she mentions that she hates drunk drivers. The irony is not lost on Barton, however, who was arrested for driving under the influence in December 2007.
“The thing is, I hate drunk drivers,” says Mischa. “Living in L.A., I can’t stand them, and that’s why I was so disappointed in myself. I wanted to prove to the court that I would take it completely seriously, so I went to rehab to prove I was sober. It really helped in getting the more serious aspects of my case dropped because, you know, that’s what they want to hear: you’re not an alcoholic, and you don’t have a problem.”
According to all the latest reports, however, Barton hasn’t stopped partying for a second! Thankfully, Mischa says she doesn’t read the gossip blogs and magazines. Check out her full interview in Marie Claire UK.
