Melissa Lawson is the Newest Winner of Nashville Star
The finale of Nashville Star was last night, and it came down between Tex-Mex electrician Gabe Garcia and mother of five boys, Melissa Lawson. However, it was Lawson who walked away with the grand prize of a pickup truck and recording contract with Warner Bros. Nashville.
Was runner-up Garcia upset about losing? Not really, but he was kinda bummed that he didn’t get to win the truck! “I really wanted that truck. I was already thinking about how I was going to jack it up and trick it out,” he says.
Lawson will get to sing her first single, “What if it all Goes Right”, Sunday in Beijing at the Olympics. Congrats, Melissa!
