Update: DJ AM Airlifted To Burn Unit
Bits and pieces of information keeps coming in about what happened in the first few seconds after DJ AM and Travis Barker’s plane crash last night.
One local resident was driving down the highway next to the airport when he saw a huge “fireball” go across the road.
According to Owens, two men (presumably Travis and DJ AM) were running around and stripping down to extinguish themselves. He said he asked the men if there was anyone else on board the plane and they told him there had been four more with them. “We turned to the jet to try and see if there was anything we could do, but immediately, there was nothing anyone could do,” Owens said.
DJ AM was so badly burned he had to be airlifted out. Barker was stable enough to be driven in an ambulance.
