Today’s Matt Lauer Divorce Leaves Meredith Vieira Speechless (Video)
NBC’s Today hosts, Matt Lauer and Meredith Vieira, shared an awkward moment this morning before a segment on the right age to get married.
Meredith mentioned she had gotten married in her 30s, then turned to Matt and asked when he had gotten married. This question was followed by an embarrassing pause from Lauer, whose first marriage ended in divorce and whose second wife once filed for divorce but later withdrew the divorce papers.
You can hear someone off camera yell, “nice!” as the morning hosts quickly move on, covering up the mishap with a couple laughs.
