Britney Spears on Life: “There’s No Excitement, No Passion… Like Groundhog Day”
Britney Spears has slowly but surely gotten her like back on track. She’s got a hit single, an album dropping in two weeks, a 2009 tour in the works and has now confirmed that she’ll be taking park in one of the biggest Christmas traditions, the lighting of the Rockefeller Center Christmas tree. Even with all the positive events taking place, it appears Britney still is happy despite outward appearances.
Spears upcoming documentary, Britney Spears Sets the Record Straight, airs on November 30th on MTV where she tearfully admits:
“There’s no excitement, there’s no passion. I have really good days, and then I have bad days. Even when you go to jail you know there’s the time when you’re gonna get out. But in this situation, it’s never ending. It’s just like Groundhog Day every day. I think it’s too in control. If I wasn’t under the restraints I’m under, I’d feel so liberated. When I tell them the way I feel, it’s like they hear but they’re really not listening.”
You can also catch Britney in the Big Apple for the 76th annual tree-lighting extravaganza December 3, the day after she turns 27 and her new album, Circus, hits stores. Whether or not she’ll be performing or just hanging out is still unclear.
