‘Dancing With The Stars’ Shawn Johnson Has A Stalker (Photos)
Dancing With The Stars contestant Shawn Johnson has a stalker. The Olympic gold medal-winning gymnast has obtained a restraining order against Robert Michael O’Ryan, an alleged fan of the 17-year-old star, who was arrested after jumping the fence at the CBS studios where DWTS is taped.
According to the Los Angeles Police Department, O’Ryan, 34, had a 45mm handgun, a loaded shotgun, “and materials classically used for kidnapping including duct tape, zip ties, a map to the victim.”
At the time of his arrest, Robert told officers that he permanently left his home in Florida, to drive across the country, because he believes Shawn is “speaking to him personally through the television and via ESP and that he will be with her no matter what.” Police also discovered love letters addressed to the young woman.
“The matter has been turned over to the Los Angeles Police Department and the Los Angeles District Attorney’s office. It is currently an ongoing investigation and we are confident that it will be handled appropriately by all involved,” the teen’s publicist said in statement late Wednesday.
O’Ryan’s bail was set at $35,000 and a hearing on the matter has been scheduled for April14.
