DNA tests have confirmed that Jude Law is the father of Samantha Burke’s baby girl, Sophia.

Jude has apologized to his family for his fling with a 24-year-old model – after being told that DNA tests ‘conclusively’ prove he fathered the child.

Law, 36, met Samantha while he was filming in New York late last year. A few months later, she phoned to tell him she was pregnant.

Law now faces child support which experts estimate will exceed $3.1 million. This news prompted the actor to reassure Rafferty, 14, Iris, 8, and Rudy, 7 – his children with former wife Sadie Frost – that the news will not affect his relationship with them.

A spokesperson for the star said she was aware of the DNA test statement, but refused to comment further.

“We don’t discuss this. We consider it an entirely private matter,” she said.
