Oprah Winfrey Sued by Flight Attendant

Corrine Gehrls, 39, a former flight attendant on Oprah Winfrey’s private jet, is suing Winfrey’s production company Harpo for $75,000. The lawsuit is a result of Gehrls being fired for alledgedly having inappropriate intimate contact outside the cockpit of the plane with one of the pilots, 57 year old Terry Pansing.

Gehrls vehemently denies the incident and is seeking compensation in a wrongful-termination and defamation lawsuit. Gehrls and Pansing were both terminated on July 7th, after Oprah was told they had sexual intercourse during a June flight aboard her $42 million Global Express XRS. The lawsuit alleges that flight attendant Myron Gooch and Kirby Bumpus, Oprah’s god-daughter, and daughter of Winfrey’s best friend Gayle King,  claimed Gehrls and Pansing were having sexual intercourse while the jet was on the ground refueling. 

Mr Gooch alledgedly concoted the story to get both employees fired after they had complained that he refused to work when scheduled, always trying to change  his schedule so that he could be in Chicago to “attend to his cats”. He also demanded to stay in better hotels than the rest of the crew. According to the lawsuit, both Gehrls and Pansing have passed a lie detector test, but neither were asked to come back to work.
