Red Hot Chili Peppers Lead Guitarist Calls It Quits

Lead guitarist of the famous Red Hot Chili Peppers, John Frusciante, has quit (again!).
He confirms the news on his myspace page, saying:
“To put it simply, my musical interests have led me in a different direction. I really love the band and what we did. Over the last twelve years, I have changed, as a person and artist, to such a degree that to do further work along the lines I did with the band would be to go against my own nature.
“There was no choice involved in this decision. I simply have to be what I am, and have to do what I must do.”
The first time he had quit was 1992, so perhaps in another seventeen years he will return. As for now, the band is working on their next album without their beloved John.
I think in a way, the other members are better off without Mr. Nature, doin’ what he’s doin’. Good Luck with the next album, hopefully it’ll be a smash hit!
