Jim Carrey, 47, is excited about his latest role — Grandfather!
Carrey’s daughter Jane and her husband Alex Santana welcomed their first child Jackson Riley Santana at 12;28 a.m Friday in Los Angeles. Jackson weighed 7 pounds 11 ounces and measured 20 inches.
Jane, the lead singer for alt-rock The Jane Carrey Band said during her pregnancy that she was looking forward to having a son with her husband, who is lead singer for metal band Blood Money. The proud parents were married in November.
“I’m excited about it because I never really got along with girls growing up,” Carrey said last year. “I was a little afraid that if it was a girl that she would not like me, you know? So I’m very happy about the boy.”
In July, Carrey said, “Jane is going to be a great mom.”
