First Look At U.S. Skins Cast
The U.S. Skins cast have officially been chosen and the filming has already started. The pilot for the show was filmed last week, which means the show won’t be aired until around September or so.
However, at this time I am unsure of who is who or what characters the people in this photo will be playing. I also do not know whether they are rewriting a plot or what the plan is. I do hope it allows for all the famous sex-driven alcohol-loving party-crazed teen kicks as the U.K. series.

no no no no no…I’m from the US and theres no way they will pull of what UK Skins has. Half the crap on skins isn’t even allowed on our TV, it’s going to suck…

The cast looks pretty crap!I’m not watching 13 year olds pretending to be high after a puff off a spliff . The americans should forget about it… Skins is pure britain.
Ugh, from what I’ve seen looking around, they’ve pretty much kept the same characters except for a few tweaks – Maxxie is now a “beautiful, gay latino” called Teo, Cassie is Cadie, Jal is now a korean Cho, Anwaar is Abbud, and Sid is Stanley.
I don’t think this US version will work – the whole point of the show is that it shows British youth. Every mannerism, rave, slang and personality is pure British! I’m not sure the translation will be satisfactory. I personally hate American versions of perfectly good shows, if anyone saw the American version of Australian Kath and Kim, they’ll know what I mean. Complete fail.
Also, the show is set in Baltimore where the population is 65% african-american and there isn’t even on black character in this!
Don’t get your hopes up, US Skins’ outcome looks pretty dismal.
skins is pure full stop. that shit happens in other counrtires as well like aus. but the wylde parties did start in brittan tho
