Florence + the Machine’s song “Cosmic Love” is my new favorite song so I decided to share it with everyone.

The deep bass beats in this song and the clear as crystal, beautiful voice of Florence Welch as she sings is captivating and amazingly easy to listen to.

Welch describes this song as being about a time when you are in love and how you have to, “give yourself up to the dark, to being blind“.

I love it, and now I’ve passed it along. Listen, and enjoy.

Dougie Poynter and Frankie from The Saturdays have been having a rather rough time lately. Dougie has told the press and everyone who follows him on Twitter that everything is fine and the two are still friends after the break up.

This is true apparently, as these photos show the two talking in Mayfair hotel about a week and a half ago in London. Seems these two should have found a more private place to hold their post break up conversation.

MTV recently beat out CW for the rights to the popular English television show, ‘Skins’. There have been many comments on how neither of these channels can fully develop the show into the phenomenon it was back in the U.K.

For example, if you have never seen the show, let me just say that HBO would be a very good channel for it to be featured on, not MTV. ‘Skins’ is a show about British teenagers and the way they deal with the problems in their lives. Sound boring? Watch it, then you’ll see how broad of a statement that is, but it works.

The characters deal with drug issues, hereditary diseases, deaths of family and friends, stolen cars, drugs, sex, lies, scandal, even abuse. Somehow, this show is not depressing. It shows the teens and how they would really live in Bristol, England. This show is not meant to be a “reality” show, it is completely scripted (obviously), and absolutely brilliant.

To celebrate Season Four of the British version in Bristol, they are even throwing a four week long party. Are there any television shows that do that here? No, because this show relates to the young adults honestly, and they love it.

When I first found out that it was going to be featured on MTV, I about died. The graphic sex scenes, the language, the drugs… I hate to say it, but I don’t believe MTV could live up to it. The American version is said to be set in Baltimore, and they held NYC auditions in mid-November.

Posted below are trailers from each season of ‘Skins’. Try watching it before you see the American version. I, of course, live in America, but got ahold of this show and fell in love with it. The acting is extremely well done and the storyline is incredible.

I hope MTV really tries hard at this and makes it at least an 18+ show or something. I will give it a try, but I can’t say now what it will be. We shall just have to wait.

There are new reports that everyone’s favorite TV cook with the warbly high-pitched voice, Julia Child, was once a secret agent! New claims say that Child was a covert agent on behalf of the OSS (precursor to the CIA) during World War II.

Secret-aaaagent Julia! Secret-aaaagent Julia! She’s gonna grill all the Nazis, and then she’s gonna serve them with some dill.

Okay, I’m such a dork!

The Guardian reports:

Child was one of more than 24,000 covert agents working on behalf of the Office of Strategic Services (OSS), a second world war-era precursor to the CIA. Her fellow spies included professional baseball player Moe Berg, US supreme court justice Arthur Goldberg and Miles Copeland, the father of The Police drummer Stewart Copeland.

In new records released today by the US national archives, Child admitted she left a previous job in furniture advertising after personality conflicts with her employers.

“I made a tactical error and was out,” the French-cuisine guru wrote in her OSS application. “However, I learned a lot about advertising and wish I had been older and more experienced so that I could have handled the situation, as it was a most interesting position.”

Child, who died four years ago this week at age 91, applied for the spying post years before marrying Paul Cushing Child and opening her storied French cooking school, L’Ecole des Trois Gourmandes.

Chris Brown and Rihanna are currently vacationing together in Rihanna’s native Barbados. They look absolutely adorable together! Hey, remember when Rihanna was dating Shia LaBeouf? And Josh Hartnett? That seems like forever ago. I’m glad she gave up those scruffy guys for a cutie like Chris Brown! Have you SEEN him dance?

Katie Price was set to do a signing of her latest book, Angel Uncovered, and this is what she wore. She probably thought this was a perfectly acceptable and classy outfit to wear to a book signing. Because everyone knows book signings are synonymous with Vegas strip joints.

Is it just me, or did she steal that outfit from Tom Cruise?

Rumor has it that Kate Moss and boyfriend Jamie Hince have called it quits. Who even knew they were dating?

Moss and Hince have been dating for 10 months, but they apparently had a “heated fight” this 4th of July weekend. I’ll bet it was “heated”…it’s been SOOOO hot outside!

Jamie was spotted moving his stuff out of Kate’s North London home, reports People.

Sources say that Jamie Hince was a great move for Moss, who had previously been dating part-time rocker and full-time drug addict Pete Doherty. Reps for the couple had no comment on the split.

Prince Harry is fast becoming the hotter of the two English princes. However, in this photo, I just can’t decide if he’s hot or not. He’s looking less like Prince Harry and more like Dirty Harry!

I mean, he looks pretty good, but there’s kind of that homeless guy factor going on for him. Like, he kind of looks like the guy on the street begging for change that you just know would be really cute if you took him home and gave him a bath. Until he ran off with all your stuff, but you get the idea!

Sharon Stone can’t apologize enough for her remarks at the Cannes Film Festival about the earthquakes in China being “karma” for all the “mean people” there.

“There have been numerous reports about what I said in Cannes,” she said in a statement Wednesday. “I would like to set the record straight about what I feel in my heart and end all of the misunderstandings. Yes, I misspoke. I could not be more regretful of that mistake. It was unintentional. I apologize, those words were never meant to be hurtful to anyone, they were an accident of my distraction and a product of news sensationalism. I am deeply saddened by the pain that this whole situation has caused the victims of the devastating earthquake in China.”

Stone, 50, who has a long history of political activism and is friends with Tibet’s exiled leader, the Dalai Lama, said at the film festival she was “not happy” with the Chinese treatment of the Tibetans and wondered aloud whether karma was at work with the earthquakes.

If Sharon really believes in Karma, then surely she knows that all the puppies and bunny rabbits in the world will probable be wearing Sharon Stone suits one of these days!

French model and actress Brigitte Bardot has been fined $23,160 for insulting Muslims.

A Paris court fined the animal rights campaigner for her repeated verbal attacks on the Muslim feast of Eid al-Adha, which involves slaughtering a sheep, among other Islam traditions.

Bardot, already fined four times since 1997 for similar racial incidents, will have to pay the hefty fine in addition to damages to several anti-racism organizations.

Bardot’s lawyer Francois-Xavier Kelidjian told French newspaper Le Monde that it is doubtful Bardot will appeal because she is “tired” of trials. Bardot was not present for the most recent decision.
