Chidi Uzomah, 25, was detained by police on Friday after he entered the E! Network building, reportedly armed with a blade, and requested to see American Idol host Ryan Seacrest.
Seacrest was in the Los Angeles TV studio but was reportedly nowhere near the overzealous fan.
Uzomah was convicted of three misdemeanors last month after attacking Seacrest’s bodyguard outside Children’s Hospital in Orange County, California. Uzomah was sentenced to 15 days behind bars after pleading guilty to battery, assault and possession of a switchblade.
Uzomah, who is considered a real danger by Seacrest’s people, is being held on charges of felony stalking in L.A.

American Idol finalist Adam Lambert reportedly introduced a male companion as his “boyfriend” to the other idol contestants at Outback Steakhouse in Burbank, California last Saturday night.
Sources also say fellow contestants Anoop Desai and Megan Joy Corkrey, who were also looking cozy at the dinner, are an item.
Adam Lambert will face off against Arkansas native, Kris Allen on this weeks American Idol finale.

American Idol’s Kris Allen ditched his guitar for the keyboard and the judges were pleased.
Allen chose Ain’t No Sunshine on the reality show’s Most Popular Downloads week. Randy Jackson said, “You’ve been slaying them…you’re in the zone.” Kara DioGuardi declared, “That is artistry.” Paula Abdul said, “That could be the first cut on your album.” Simon Cowell summed it all up by proclaiming, “You brought confidence…very good arrangement. Your best performance.”
He did an amazing job and personally, I could listen to it over and over again.

American Idol rapped up Motown week after saying good-bye to 27-year-old contestant, Michael Sarver. He performed a second rendition of Ain’t Too Proud To Beg to try and persuade judges to save him from going home, but failed.
It didn’t seem too easy a decision for the judges, who needed a few more seconds to decide whether or not to send Sarver home. Then after their quick pow-wow, Simon Cowell told the Jasper, Texas native that his performance was “not good enough…. you’re going home tonight.”
Ryan Seacrest reminded viewers that Sarver will still be joining the remaining contestants for the American Idol Top 10 music tour this summer.
Also in the bottom two was Matt Giraud, who sang Let’s Get It On.

American Idol’s Clay Aiken became a new daddy this morning! His best friend, 50-year-old Jaymes Foster , gave birth to a baby boy at 8:08 a.m.
Jaymes gave birth via artificial insemination. So, there was no actual intercourse for Aiken, to those who were shocked that Clay Aiken would actually knock someone up!
The baby’s name is him Parker Foster Aiken. He weighed in at 6 pounds 2 ounces. 8:08 on 8/8/08…that is too cute! I think I would have named him Ocho or something like that. Congrats, Clay!

Kristy Lee Cook was like an annoying bug on American Idol that just wouldn’t go away. Great performers such as Michael Johns were sent home, while Kristy was left hanging around like a cockroach.
When Kristy finally got the boot, it was like, finally! There is justice in this world, after all! Turns out, it’s not so though! Kristy Lee is back and has gotten a record deal. Cringe with me now.
Cook’s first single is titled “15 Minutes of Shame”. Bitter of her American Idol success much?
“I’ve wanted this for so many years,” Cook said in a statement. “To have the chance to be a country singer — to make the music I love — and to have enjoyed the support of so many American Idol fans this past season, it all means more than I can put into words.”
Sony BMG Nashville Chairman Joe Galante said Cook will be “very relatable to the country audience and is destined to have hits.
